We were surprised by his color, but not with his quality!!!
This son of Legend's Challenger of KPR is truly outstanding in every way!!!
Giacomo is

in honor of my father, August V. Dattilo Sr. whose
childhood nickname was Giacomo...I'm not exactly sure why since it's Italian
for James??? Anyway...Giacomo it is!
We will call him
"Gus" for short! Giacomo's birth weight was a hearty 19.2 pounds and he
was up and running around within minutes of his birth. His fiber is all
knotted up...an outstanding sign of quality!
We can't wait to see how this young man develops!!!

Serene-n-Green's
Liliana:
Introducing ....the first cria born here at Serene-n-Green Alpacas on the
8th of May 2006!!!
We named her Liliana because it is Italian for lily and with her blinding
bright fleece it just
seemed to fit her well. She gets prettier and sweeter by the day...even when
pregnant! Lily lost
her 2008 male cria, Potenti to a bacterial infection in his stomach at 6
weeks old...very sad
times...our first loss.
|
|

Legacy's Louisa:
One our original four alpacas! Louisa
has always been my favorite...she is the most
curious alpaca we have ever
seen. She would rather investigate than eat!!! |
|

Aussie Colorado Dillinger:

show ring record (2x Color Champion
with 10 Blue Ribbons) of his own and
now his cria all
over the U.S. are doing the same...he's great AND he's passing it on to his
cria!!!
|
|

Serene-n-Green's Caro Bert:
Our
long awaited Fannie/Challenger cria is here and he just may be THE MAN!!!
He is named in honor of Joann's Great
Aunt Alberta. "Bert" as she likes to be called recently passed away at 98
years old. Bert has truly been a blessing to all who have ever know her.
The
name "Caro Bert" is Italian for "Beloved Bert"...as Aunt Bert truly is!!!
Bert as he will be called is strong as
they come...on his second attempt he stood up and walked around for 8-10
minutes before Fannie accidentally knocked him over. We are very excited to
see how this young man develops...born at 16.4 lbs, his fiber is locked up
tight with than
"bumpy" feeling with luster to die for!!!
|
|

Bella Lana of Serene-n-Green (Italian for Beautiful Wool) was born around
1:30pm
and weighed in at 18.8 lbs!!! She was named in honor of Mr. B.L. Godfrey
(Joann's Dad)
who was called home by God just two hours prior to her birth. His nickname
growing up
was "Wool" because he would always try to "pull the wool over your eyes!"
Lana won a
Fourth Place
at the 2008 Kentucky Classic...her first show!!!
